Adriano Medeiros returns to Britcar with Geoff Steel Racing
Adriano Medeiros 24th January 2017Brazilian racing driver Adriano Medeiros will once again race in the Britcar Endurance Championship in 2017 driving a BMW M3 E46 for Silverstone 24 Hours winners Geoff Steel Racing.
Adriano won last season’s Classic Formula Ford 1600 Championship for the second time and competed in the famous Dubai 24 Hours for CTR-Alfatune in their TCR-spec SEAT Leon. The Brazilian will compete during the 2017 season for the former-BTCC squad Geoff Steel Racing at Snetterton, Silverstone, Donington Park and Oulton Park during the season alongside Rob Hudson in the Endurance category of the Britcar Endurance Championship.
“I raced with this team last year and I’ve always had a lot of respect for them and their work,” said Adriano. “Now to know that I will drive their again this year car is really exciting. We raced for 4 races last season in the Production Series and we won our class at Snetterton and finished second overall. Rob is learning and his move to the Endurance championship is a step up and Rob wants to learn as much as possible so I’m sure we’ll have an exciting season. As always, I thank God for this incredible opportunity!”
Medeiros is also famous for winning on his NASCAR Euro Series debut at Brands Hatch in 2012 and works as a race instructor at MSV’s Bedford Autodrome, and coached BWRDC Goldstar winner Katie Milner to a championship win in the Junior Saloon Car Championship.
