At the last post you probably read about the returning of Jesus Saves Racing team and my participation as the driver of the team.

It has been a very interesting journey for us as it seems like the first plan didn’t go very well and We had to gave up on rebuilding Fernando’s car and buy our own car. Which is actually great to know that Jesus Saves Racing team now owns a Formula Ford RF80, similar car than Fernando’s.

On friday we test and suffer a misfire that wouldn’t go away, Richard Owen the engineer together with Alvin and his dead work up to 10:30 in the evening trying to sort the problem. But on Saturday morning We still didn’t know if the car would be fast enough.

So the qualify starts and the car seems to be very good, I did drive for the whole session and the misfire seems to be solved, the result at end of the session was good. We end up qualifying the car on third place, the car was a bit too low on the ride height. Its difficult to say because they check the car in a place that was impossible to measure properly. We were move to the last place for the race.

Well it was great fun to drive and the car felt good. The race was very difficult as there was few drops of water on the visor. every time I get to the corners I didn’t know if there was grip or not. Some times there wasn’t others was fully sideways. But at the end we finish third with the fastest lap of the race. What a result!
